     Mock Trials Clerk of the Court VOLUNTEER FORM

Each participating school must provide one adult “Clerk of the Court” volunteer.  Volunteers are needed for each trial date and each individual trial.  Orientation (location TBA) begins at 4:30 PM.  Note:  A clerk volunteer can be assigned to their school's courtroom.

Clerk of the Court will be responsible for the following:

• Keep overall court time ensuring that the trial ends at a reasonable time
• Collect the scoring forms and award nominations from the adjudicators at completion of each trial
• Distribute scoring forms to adjudicators for third trial
• Make sure that people are not entering and leaving the courtroom once the trial begins
• Monitor that cameras and video and audio devices are not being used once the trial begins
