4:00 - 5:30 PM

Mock Trial Coaches Meeting - Stanislaus County Office of Education, 1100 H Street, Modesto, Board Room.  Case materials available at coaches meeting with a
team registration form.

December 10

 School Registration Form and Payment Due

January 10

 The following are due: (forms available online at: www.stancoe.org/scoe/admin/studentevents)
 Clerk of the Court Volunteer Form
Team List - (e-mail excel file to lturner@stancoe.org)
  Team Photograph - Please indicate the names of the students in the picture.  Please e-mail a digital photo attachment to lturner@stancoe.org
       

January 24
5:00 - 8:00 PM
(end time is approximate)

Trial I at County Courthouse—Registration for teams by the coach
begins at 5:00 PM in the basement hallway (students MUST wait in the
basement jury room until they are asked to report to their assigned 
courtroom). Trial I begins promptly at 5:30 PM (or when courtroom is 
available).  The following paperwork MUST be received at registration in 
order to participate in the Mock Trials event: 
  Teacher-Sponsor Agreement Form
   A signed Student Permission Slip/Code of Ethics for each
      team member
   Team Roster (submit to presiding judge and 3 adjudicators at each trial)
   Courtroom Journalist Roster & Release Form
   Courtroom Artist Roster & Release Form

January 26
5:00 - 8:00 PM

 Trial II at County Courthouse - Registration for teams
by the coach begins at 5:00 PM in the basement hallway (students MUST
wait in the basement jury room until they are asked to report to their assigned
courtroom)  Trial begins promptly at 5:30 PM (or when courtroom is available).
 
Award Nomination form (for coach use at Awards Ceremony)

January 31
5:00 - 9:00 PM
(end time is approximate)

 Trial III - at County Courthouse, Registration for teams
by the coach begins at 5:00 PM in the basement hallway (students MUST wait in the basement jury room until they are asked to report to their assigned
courtroom)  Trial begins promptly at 5:30 PM (or when courtroom is available). Awards Ceremony immediately following Trial III at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, Petersen Event Center, Refreshments provided - Open to the public

March 23-25, 2012

 California Mock Trials

Note (per courthouse officials): Food or drinks are not allowed ANYWHERE inside the Courthouse.  
The officials are willing to allow drinks in the jury room only (in the basement) on a trial basis.
Any student caught defacing or stealing courthouse property will be PROSECUTED and will cause 
their team to be disqualified from competition.
