Future City Competition

Across the nation, teams of middle school students work with teacher/coaches and engineer mentors to
imagine, design, and build cities of the future. Student teams plan cities with SimCity 4 Deluxe software, build tabletop scale models with recycled materials, research and write solutions to an
engineering problem, and present their ideas before judges at regional competitions in January. Regional winners represent their region at National Finals in Washington, D.C., in February.
