Elementary Spelling Championship

Contestant Information
Each district may send their top spellers in grade 4-6 to the Stanislaus County Elementary Spelling Championship. Word lists are available to participating schools online. The Spelling Master selects 90% of the words used in the competition from the word list with 10% of the words from an unpublished list.
Participants receive a certificate of participation and a medal. The top two spellers will represent Stanislaus County at the state competition at Sonoma State in Rohnert Park on May 21, 2011 and the third place speller will serve as the alternate.
The Stanislaus County Office of Education's Student Events Program is changing the registration process for all student events. All event information and paperwork is now available online. Click "Event Information" above. Please complete a Registration Form and return as indicated on the form.
Note: Each participating district provides a minimum of one proctor (for every two participants) to assist in conducting the event.
